I love the NYTimes photo blog… They continually show great photojournalism, and this post discusses the alleged death of PJ. While some of my work is in the PJ style, it is mostly for corporate clients. The stories I am illustrating are serving a corporate mission, and often a noble one at that.
The photographers who are out in the world, finding stories, finding sponsors, and putting themselves at varying degrees of danger to bring us back the visual candy have long been heroes in my eyes. It is great to see the next gen of shooters heading out there, wanting to develop their skill & style, and thinking for the long term. I hope that the evolution of the iPad and its upcoming counterparts will encourage publishers to use images (both still & motion!) in new and exciting ways.
